“Let the children come to me… for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:14
This morning, our sweet friend Bryan is with Jesus.
Life is precious and uncertain.
And we have yet to see the impact that Bryan’s little life will have. Yesterday, my five year old, came in from school and announced that she wanted to be “bathtized” and ask Jesus in her heart so that she could live with God in Heaven. We talked through the gospel on her level. She’s not quite there, but what a blessing to have that conversation. I’d be willing to bet that Bryan has inspired dozens of similar conversations, as well as given our children (and us) an opportunity to grow closer to God through prayer, faith, and even grief.
From Jay and Christine’s blog this morning:
Welcome Home, Son
Bryan peacefully left our arms and leapt into Jesus’ at 9:54 EST.
Thank you, Lord, for gifting us with such a precious child who impacted more people in his five short years than I could ever dream in my nearly forty.
He fought valiantly and we are so proud of his example of tenacity, courage, loving kindness, faith in God, and inspirational joy.
We love you all so much and look forward to sharing more of Bryan’s testimony in the near future.
Blessings to you.
Jay and Christine – from the Funderburkes and so many others… we love you. We are so proud of your strength and your faith through suffering. We know God has your sweet family under His wing. We are praying for His peace that passes all understanding.
