So tomorrow is the public launch of Westwood‘s first multi-site campus in Calera. After months of planning and thinking and re-thinking and re-planning, it is finally here. Wow.
Here’s a very short summary of what we are doing:
– We are portable and meeting in the elementary school.
– We have divided a large hallway into three spaces for babies & crawlers, walkers – 2’s, and 3K & 4K. They will are doing First Look curriculum like our Alabaster campus.
– Elementary kiddos are meeting in the gym and doing the same Studio 3:16 large group and small group curriculum as the Alabaster campus.
– We have absolutely the most incredible volunteers and volunteer staff, just like at the Alabaster campus. More about them in another post!
So, after a few weeks of practice and of set-up and tear down, tomorrow is the public launch. We have done heavy marketing this week. Even cooler, is for every person there tomorrow our church will provide 5 years of clean, safe drinking water for someone in a developing country through charity:water.
Pray for us and pray for the city of Calera. We want to see God do some big things! You can go here to see a video from our campus pastor. I’ll post more this week about our adventure.
