A New Year, A Look Look

new year

I love New Year’s!  I love the physical calendar reminder of Lamentations 3:22-23.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
his mercies never come to an end;
 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

I love a new start.

So as we head into 2013, there is much to be excited about.  Our family is mostly focused on the arrival of our new baby girl in April.  I’m excited to see what God has in store for West Bradenton Baptist Church and North River Church.  I’m excited to be a part of the Illuminate Conference in Birmingham and in Ft. Lauderdale.

More than that, I’m excited to see what God has in store that we can’t even imagine. It is always a little wild to get to the end of a year and reflect on all that has happened in a year that we never expected.  Some of those things are extremely exciting and some are devastating.  But He never changes.  He is good.  His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness.

Also, for 2013, this blog has a brand new look. (Shout out to hackers who need more productive things to do).  So fresh and new and malware-free, I’m excited to share my rambling thoughts with you for another year.  I want you to be part of the conversation!

So from the Funderburke family to yours, Happy New Year and may God pour His blessings, His mercies and His faithfulness on you.

What topics would you like to see written about this year?  What conversations do you think are missing in kidmin world?
